“Relatable and inspirational… embroils a listener to hang on to every note and wish the song would go on for longer”
Annalie is a singer, songwriter, actor and musician from Leeds via the Scottish highlands and the mountains of Georgia. Tenderness dances with yearning in a voice that comes straight from the heart. Her songs explore the perfect imperfection of being human, the wars we wage inside and out. Annalie’s live show is an immersive experience of storytelling, emotional reckoning and left field humour. Backed by guitar and piano with live vocal harmonies, her sound sits loosely in the realm of folk, with jazz and blues influences.
Annalie began writing music aged 7, and at age 15 composed her first film score for the critically acclaimed Italian film Il Lento, which premiered at the Venice Biennale. Raised on a diet of folk, jazz and blues, it is unsurprising to find these early influences embedded into her tunes, peppered with later discoveries of funk and hip-hop.
Annalie’s EP was released in 2020 and its title song “Power To Change” is a haunting call to arms on the theme of the climate crisis. During the lockdowns she produced a series of contemplative protest songs including “Breath,” whose powerful video featuring ex-National Ballet dancer Shevelle Dynott screened at New York’s 2023 NoirFest.
Annalie enjoyed several sold out headlines show at Green Note in Camden in 2023 and 2024, and has performed at Rumble Festival in 2022, and How The Light Gets In festival in 2019 at Kenwood House.
Her activist work has seen her lend her skills to several movements and she has played at The XR Vaults Festival, South West Uprising in Brockwell Park with Johnny Flynn as well as fundraising events in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
In 2023 Annalie released the heart-warming single and video “Everyday Magic,” a testament to her close friend who died suddenly during the pandemic.
