Fireflies is an evening of authentic original songs with singer, songwriter and actor Annalie Wilson. The venue is Bar48, a hidden jewel poised at the crossroads of Oval and Brixton; a haven of cosy vibes and Eritrean cuisine.
This is a space for ordinary magic.
There will be an element of spontaneity.
Entry is free, and there will be an opportunity to make donations. CDs will also be on sale.
Annalie will perform solo with piano and guitar songs from all of her albums to date, as well as new previously unreleased material.
Each album is a journey and a world in itself.
The Anomaly Project (2009) is quirky, offbeat alternative indie exploration. Water Snakes (EP, 2013) is a genuine encounter with the spiritual path. Open Heart Circus (2014) is an epic rock production that balances drama and intensity with lightness and humour.
Annalie’s third full album, The Cold Blows, (2016) recorded live with piano, voice and drums at three locations in Poland and Norway, is an intimate journal of love, loss and international risk. It is an album of contrasts and space, light and dark, energy and stillness.
